How to use overclocking feature of my graphics card?

i bought a palit gtx560 overclocked version graphics card. i installed it and installed its drivers.it automatically installed a software vtune in my computer. now there is an option of overclocking in the software. but whenever i raise the gpu speed from 880mhz to something higher it just returns to the original setting. plz help|||If its returning to the original settings, then its more than likely overheating. You should check out the temp of the card before trying to overclock. Run it on normal settings with a demanding game for about 15 minutes, close it out, and immediately check the temperature of the card.

If you really want to do overclocking, do some research, learn about how it works before attempting yourself, so you lessen the chance of frying your card. Also might want to check out ntune.
