HELP Gtx560 or Gtx570?

The gtx 560 costs $185

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130661

gtx570 costs $320

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130621

Which one is the most bang for my buck? Why is the gtx570 so much more $? What is the major difference between the cards when playing games??|||Why not go for a GTX 560 TI - they're like $20-30 more and somewhere in between.

The 570 is a premium card (well all the GTX series are) but the 560 are the entry level to the high end hence much cheaper - the 570/580 are the top end of the single GPU Nvidia lineup hence come at more of a premium.

For a rough comparision of what you listed and what i've suggested -

Chip - Cores - Core Clock - Shader Clock

GTX 570 - 480 Cores - 732 Mhz - 1464 Mhz

GTX 560 TI OC - 384 Cores - 900 Mhz - 1800 Mhz

GTX 560 - 336 Cores - 850 Mhz - 1700 Mhz

The TI i listed is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… for $234 or you could go the Palit non OC version for $219 both of these cards offer excellent bang for buck.

In most games you likely won't notice a huge difference between any of these cards @ 1920 x 1080 with moderate AA settings and max detail. Put it this way I run a GTX 280 + GT220 (i7 875k, vertex 2 ssd, 12gb ram) driving 3 monitors and I haven't had to drop detail settings down much from maximum on any games, so any of these cards would be more than adequate.

The GTX 560 TI will run at 80%+ of the speed of the GTX 570 and the GTX 560 ~70%+ of the speed of the GTX 570.

At the moment graphics cards are insanely over powered for the jobs they're doing - high end cards are quite capable of rendering most games at 2 x 1920x1080 (1.5-2gb cards anyway) and having very playable frame rates. I would recommend going for the 560 TI if budget is a constraint. Those cards u listed both have a $20 mail in rebate atm by the looks :P might be worth considering the 570. Honestly though you will not be disappointed with any of the cards - they're all great - I haven't had the opportunity of testing a 560 but it would be roughly equivalent to my GTX 280 (but use less powe and run cooler) so I don't think you'd be disappointed in that either =)|||GTX570 = 2 x GTX560

GTX590 = 2 x GTX570

So, you basically get a doubled performance at not exactly doubled the price.

If i upgrade my processor will it increase my graffics card performance?

I just bought a gtx560 ti and i still have a very crappy processor in my computer its only a dual core. if i get a 5 core will it increase the overall performance of my videocard so i can get max effects and will it also increase the fps?|||There is no 5 core processors. Only quad (4) core.

And yes. It would increase you performance|||There isnt any 5 core proccy available. You can get a Quad Core i.e 4 Core or a Hexa Core i.e 6 core. And yes, a Quad Core or a Hexa Core will surely better performance.|||Yes it would, but for optimal performance you could install a better graphics card as well.|||You may need more RAM,or faster RAM.

Which one should I go for? A gtx560 2gb or gtx560ti 1gb?

Please help I'm at a loss here both have the same price this is for desktop pc

Thanx|||GTX 560 ti 1 GB, very few games use more than 1 GB of ram at 1080p and lower. I would recommend that you spend a bit more and buy a 570/6970 though.|||I'll bet the quality and clock speed of the 1gb GTX 560ti is a lot better. You don't need more than 1gb of VRAM with the GTX 560ti unless you're suing a 2560x1600 monitor or a dual monitor setup.

What is a good gaming desktop build for under 1000$?

First time building my own pc. What would be good components for me who only have 750~1000$ for hardware and case.

I already have a gtx560 i wish to use for it, and need sli capability. So pls recommend accordingly. Thanks!|||if you want some help choosing parts send an E-mail with your budget and your monitor resolution "size" and games you want to play and if you want windows version with the budget and other preference and specifications like if you want another gtx 560 for SLI or you don't need one because you already have one and if you want parts like hard disk and dvd burner or you going to take parts from another desktop .. etc , and i will send you back an e-mail with a complete list of links of the best combination of parts that will suit you and your budget.|||Go into your local store!|||This article might help

How to connect nvidia geforce gtx560 to a LCD monitor?card is having only HDMI plug..?

well if your monitor is full hd alreayd? you only need the HDMI plug if you want the HD audio etc, but if you have good speakers then it wouldnt be a problem :) and if you DONT have a DVI port...and that you must us HDMI, go buy a HDMI to DVI connector :) and that would solve your problems easy!

EVGA nVidia GeForce GTX560 Ti Superclocked 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E VS SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON HD6950 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E?

grab the 1gb 6950. it's the same at 1920x1080 as it's 2gb variant. they are both similar. find specific games basically, otherwise they basically tie on performance summary. 6950 might squeek out 5% ahead. go with the best warranty and the cheapest.

Old video card. I'd like to upgrade, to nVidia GTX560 TI but from which manufacturer?

I want to upgrade my video card to nVidia GTX560 TI.

I'd like to buy nVidia, but i cant find in my country. So here are the candidates:

ASUS ENGTX560TI DCII/2DI/1GD5

MSI NVIDIA GTX560TI 1GB/256B N560GTX-TI TWIN FROZRII/OC

GIGABYTE NVIDIA GTX560 1GB N560OC-1GI

I was going for the Gigabyte gtx650 soc but its out of stock.

HELP PLEASE !

Vote for any of them, or give me your opinion about any of them or just say something that you my think might help.

Oh one more thing. I have a deluxe 500W power supply is it good for any of them?

Thank you in advance.|||I'd go with the ASUS. You'll need a better PSU for that card. I'd suggest 600-650 watt to give you some headroom. Make sure it has the necessary amps on the 12 v rail too and is high efficiency 80+|||I'd like to recommend to you ASUS.They are very good and have a long life and good cooling system..I had 2 ASUS cards until now..

Need a Power Supply for a ASUS GTX560 Direct CU video card.?

So under the guidance of a friend I am building a new computer myself and I have ordered a ASUS GTX560 Direct CU video card. The things a bit of a beast and I found I need a new power supply for it to work.

I need something that will give about 550 to 600 W and must be compatible with the card (i.e. the card has axillary power inputs so I guess I need a power supply that can deliver).

What graphics card is better than 2x gtx460?

I have 2 gtx460 running in sli. My buddy wants to build a PC and I was wondering if I got something like the gtx560 ti oc, would that be faster or what would be faster without running sli or crossfire?|||Use NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2- dual GPU-based graphic card.|||one of the higher factory clocked gtx 580's such as msi's 3gb lightning extreme might do the trick, or if you don't mind dual gpu cards, then possibly a gtx 590 or 6990.|||My understanding from some of research (I'm building a comp myself) is that the nvidia GeForce 560 is pretty darn good. Buy it!|||A 560Ti isn't much better than a 460, so 2x460s would be faster. However, something like a 570 would be a better option, as a single GPU is easier to setup, and performs more reliably. Plus, you can Crossfire later if you need to.

Is a gtx560 ti a good upgrade from a gtx 275 video card?

my gaming pc is starting to get slower for games, its not that slow but i would like to be able to play new games on my pc, is the tx560 ti card much better than the 275, is it worth th eupgrade or should i wait for newer cards to come out before i upgrade my parts, my video card is 2 and a half years old btw|||Hell yeah gtx 560 is a hell of a card u know nvidea models who have x marks gt X are made for extreme gaming and u will run ultra high graphics even in 3d mode with this card :D

Will my Q8200 quad core CPU or 4G DDR2 ram bottleneck my Gigabyte GTX560 TI OC?

that's it.|||It does depend on what game you play. Games like Crysis 2 which is demanding on the graphics card and not so much on the CPU will not be bottlenecked. Games like GTA4 or Flight Sim X which are very demanding on the CPU will not stress the video card much because the CPU will struggle to get through the work if it's on highest settings.

To check whether you have a bottleneck you could run a benchmark test, record how many points you get and then compare your results with other people who have the same graphics card but a newer cpu and ram.

Another way to check if you have a (significant) bottleneck is to run a demanding game on the highest settings and record the frames per second. Then drop the graphics settings and keep the rest of the settings at the highest.

If when you drop the graphics settings your frame rate stays the same or similar then you have no noticeable bottleneck.

Every system has a bottleneck. It will only work as fast as its slowest part. It's just that some bottlenecks are negligible and others are noticeable.|||it depends on what game you play.|||R2D2 or C3PO|||No It will be fine|||no

Which graphic card: Zotac GTX560 or ASUS GTX560?

HI guys,

I am planning to buy a graphic card... I have shortlisted these two:

1. Zotac GTX560 AMP! Edition (OC to 950MHz) (http://www.zotac.com/index.php?page=shop… )

2. ASUS GTX560 (OC to 925MHz) ( http://in.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/NVIDIA… )

WHich one out of these should I go for? Or should I go for a completely different one? MY budget is INR 14K. ALso mainly I want this for heavy video rendering and photo editing basically.. I however plan to do some moderate gaming with the latest titles :)

PS: If you are going to convert INR to your country currency (esp. $ ) when advising some other card, then please keep one thing in mind, the prices get increased by a lot till they come to Indian markets

Cheers|||I would have to say go with the ASUS brand, The ZOTAC gtx 560 AMP edition consumes more power.produces more heat and is a little bit noisy compared to other brands, here is a link about this:

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphic…|||Even though the ASUS is clocked slightly lower, i'd still choose it because ASUS is known for their quality and the warranty should reflect that.|||Asus|||Geez, PTRP beat me again T.T

Damage to graphic card (gtx560)?

so I bought a new gtx560 and when I connected it, the computer didnt detect it. it was on, the fan was running but when I installed the drivers it wasnt recognized a gtx card.... the device manager simply stated "standard vga".... so I thought the problem Might be the power supply and it turns out one of the 12v rails wasnt working... it probably stopped with my old card which didnt require much power anyway.

so im going to get a new psu, but do you think connecting it for the first time without the sufficient power could have damaged it even though the card wasn't technically in use?|||No it should not have caused any damage to it. Touching it without grounding your self first to remove the elctro static discharge could have damaged it. However very unlikely i think you will be fine.

Will my rig can handle gtx560?

Guys please help...

I'm planning to upgrade my GPU card from 9500GT to GTX560, will my rig can handle the gtx 560 or is it compatible with my rig? Here's my specs....

Can you SLI a evga GTX560 (non ti) 1GB and a evga GTX560 (non ti) 2GB graphics card?

hi no one will answer me with this question but here we go i have a evga (non ti) GTX560 1GB iv just seen a new evga release of the GTX560 (non ti) but its a 2GB version would i be able to SLI them if i was to buy it please reply back thanks|||Yes you will. So long as it is the same chip, it will work. You could put any GTX 560 with any other GTX 560, even if it is from another manufacturer or has different factory clock speeds.

However, what you will find is you probably won't have 3GB total VRAM, and the reason is in order for SLI to work, the cards must be identical. This means the same chip, the same amount of memory and the same clocks, so you would have just 2GB video memory, 1GB for each card. Video memory only helps with higher resolution applications though, and 2GB is plenty, even for HD gaming or gaming across multiple monitors at high resolutions.

But wait, I said earlier: "You could put any GTX 560 with any other GTX 560, even if it is from another manufacturer or has different factory clock speeds".

What it would do if one has higher clocks is underclock the one with the higher clocks to the speeds of the slower card. This is because that way both will be stable for sure, and you won't lose warranty or damage the other, lower clocked card

Make sure your power supply is able to handle 2 cards though as well

Is 450 watts enough to power a gtx560 ti?

Nope, 500 W minimum.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/product-gef…|||It depends on the exact model. It varies slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer. Can you give a link to the exact model? Then I could probably tell you. But you're probably going to be cutting it close.|||No definietly not. The BARE MINIMUM for the 560 is 500 watts.|||I don't think so, unless I'm mistaken the minimum requirements are for at least 500-550w.

Will my Motherboard work with the Nvidia GTX560?

Is nVidia GTX560 Ti OC better then the non OC one?

is the nvidia geforce gtx 560 ti OC better then non OC one?|||is this a serious question...

yes overclocked version will be faster than factory clocked ones|||The overclocked models from the manufacturers usually have passed the test standards with higher scores than the stock ones. Thus they can be sold at a higher GPU/memory clock speed.

But, this isn't 'carved in stone'. Sometimes it's a marketing thing.

Is nVidia GTX560 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card good for gaming?

I've been shopping for a gaming computer for Christmas and have no knowledge in graphics cards, I'm wondering if the "nVidia GTX560 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card" would be good for gaming, not for running graphics on max settings but for running smoothly on medium graphics for games like Skyrim, Starcraft, World of warcraft etc it would be going along with a "Intel Core i5-2400 Quad Core CPU 3.1GHz" and 8GB RAM|||You're "wondering if the "nVidia GTX560 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card" would be good for gaming"?? Oh it's a 220$ graphic card!! Nvidia GTX560 is one of the faster graphic card in the world (except dual gpu and some professional cards) and if u buy that card u will play on max settings on every game on this planet! If u want to play on med. settings with Skyrim,Starcraft and WoW u have to buy the Radeon HD 6770 that costs about 100$..

Oh Alex your Graphic Card costs exactly half of the GTX 560!! they are not comparable ;)|||exactly the same specs as me, except my GFX card is the 550 not 560.

From my 2 months of research, its safe to say that our rigs are good. Yes, we can play any game, just not ULTRA high graphics, some games may be low graphics, but hey, i play a game for the fun, not the looks :D|||yes its is good for gaming you can run this games at mid settings and in my experince i7 would be better than i5

Asus gtx560 power on but no video?

recently brought the ASUS GTX560 DirectCU graphics card and have installed it on my mother board, connected the power cable and plugged in my monitor. but when i power on my pc i get no video feed even though the graphics card is powered on, have tryed it with 2 different screens and a few different cables, also tryed using my old graphics card and that works fine. Does anybody have a solution to this. Mother board is a asus P5G41T-M LX3-GB running with a duel core 3Ghz and 4gb of ram|||What size is your PSU? Whats the wattage? My guess is you havent got enough power.. the psu requires a minimum recommended 500w power supply

if you have have you connected all the cables as that will requires an extra 6 pin adapter|||3 questions

- what's your operating system, 32bit or 64bit?

- how much video memory has the old graphics card?

- how much video memory has the GTX560?

my guess is that the new graphics card causes a memory overlapping

added

did you completely remove the driver of the old graphics card?

additionally you can try this: remove one of the memory sticks and try again running the PC with only 2GB ram.

@the idiot who gave the thumbs down

inserting a new graphics card doesn't change the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) information stored in the registry created during the installation of the OS. if the video ram will be increased by 512MB (e.g. from 512MB to 1GB) the result is an overlap of video ram with system ram that the operating system can't detect. increasing the video ram can lead to a BSoD or an unpredicted behaviour.

Can u SLI a GTX560Ti with a GTX560 non Ti?

the title says it all can u SLI a GTX560Ti with a GTX560 non Ti

iv a non Ti version and a 8800gtx (for physx) which work perfect but i want a little more horse power for battleField 3 when it comes out im pretty sure i most stick with the same card but there is no harm in asking|||Nope two completley different cards. That'd be like asking can you SLI a gtx 560 ti with a gtx 460, since the gtx 560 non ti is just a gtx 460 heavily overclocked.

GTX560 Twin Frozr II or Gigabyte GTX560Ti OC?

Which GTX560 would you recommend me?

I won't be OCing the videocard, since my Q6600 (OC'd to 3.0 GHz) might bottleneck my videocard already.

So don't recommend the Twin Frozr II with the reason: "Better OC Capabilities" or something like that. (I also got 3 fans in the casing, pretty good airflow!)

Here are the cards:

http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/9291884/art/msi/geforce-gtx-560-ti-twin-f.html

http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/8840071/art/gigabyte/geforce-gtx-560-ti-oc-1-g.html

Twin Frozr seems to have a slower clock, since the Ti OC is already overclocked by the company.

Prices are around the same, so that's not an issue either.

I do want to connect 2 screens, so I also ordered DVI to VGA adapters.

(They're 2 LCD screens, 1280x1024 @ 75 Hz)

I also read somewhere that connecting multiple screens can majorly increase load temps.

And since my videocard is most likely bottlenecked, that Ti OC won't have a performance difference?

I'm not sure..

Anyhow, should I go with the Twin Frozr II instead? So it would stay cooler with 2 screens connected? Or is that not worth it, and should I go with the slightly faster Ti OC?

If you think both are a fine choice and there's no absolute best, could you tell me which manifacture you recommend me?

MSI or Gigabyte?

(On a side note, I read some bad things about the MSI customer service!

How to use overclocking feature of my graphics card?

i bought a palit gtx560 overclocked version graphics card. i installed it and installed its drivers.it automatically installed a software vtune in my computer. now there is an option of overclocking in the software. but whenever i raise the gpu speed from 880mhz to something higher it just returns to the original setting. plz help|||If its returning to the original settings, then its more than likely overheating. You should check out the temp of the card before trying to overclock. Run it on normal settings with a demanding game for about 15 minutes, close it out, and immediately check the temperature of the card.

If you really want to do overclocking, do some research, learn about how it works before attempting yourself, so you lessen the chance of frying your card. Also might want to check out ntune.

Or last year's model a Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX the GTX 560 with the Nvidia GeForce 9800 will help your mobo very much especially if your gamer. Good luck I hope I was helpful to you

Is My Computer Compatible For Zotac GeForce GTX560 1GB DDR5 PCI-E Video Card?

MY COMPUTER SPECS:

- OS Name: Windows Vista

- Computer Model: HP-Pavilion p6152f

- System Type: x64 Bit

- Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) 8450 Triple-Core Processor, 2100 Mhz, 3 Core(s)

I have a terrible graphics card, and I would like to change it, but I'm just wondering if my computer is compatible for the GTX560 graphics card. PLEASE answer ASAP! Thanks in advance,|||Yes.

Can a intel D945GCCR motherboard support a GTX560 TI?

PSU:600watt

Any Help Will Be Appreciated!!!!|||If your mobo has a PCI. express x16 slot in it, then it will support GTX560 TI

But your mobo must have PCI. express 2.0 in order to use the graphic card to full extent or else you can only have half its performance|||yes your motherboard will run GTX 560 ti as it has one PCI-Ex16 slot which is required for PCI-Ex16 cards like GTX 560 Ti.

make sure your power supply is from reputed brands like Corsair, antec, seasonic, silverstone,Tagan…

if it is from cheap brands like iball, zebronics,VIP,frontech then it will not run GTX 560 Ti.you at least need good quality 500 watts of power supply to run GTX 560 ti.check the number of amperes on +12V rail of your power supply.|||Yes, the D945GCCR does have a PCI-Express slot to take the GTX560 TI.

However, you need to make sure you have enough room in your PC CASE to accommodate the card. You also need a good quality PSU to power that card.

Top brands for the PSU: Corsair, Seasonic and XFX|||The motherboard should have a pci-e slot is all need it and it's a micro atx motherboard kind of a powerful motherboard the psu is good for the gtx 560 ti graphic card

Can a nvidia gtx560 go in the same slot as my 8500 gt card?

i currently have a nvidia 8500gt and would like to replace it with gtx 560 will it be compatible in the same slot or is the slot required for gtx560 different ?

the specs of slots are:

plz help

cheers!|||Yes, the GTX 560 uses the same slot as the 8500 GT. Like what mvshahid said, get at least a 500W power supply though I suggest getting at least a 600W for some overclocking.|||Yes. you can.

both are coming for the pci-e slot, so you can connect the gtx560, and ensure that you got the power supply of minimum 500w real. and there must be an additional power cable.

good luck..|||Yes it can. Make sure that your power supply can supply the power that it needs and that you connect the extra power connectors that the graphics card has.|||Yes same slot. Both are pci-e cards so they use ur pci-e slot.

Fitting a gtx560 graphics card into a slot that was used by 9600gt. Would gtx560 fit?

i was wondering, i am using a nVidia geforce 9600gt 512mb graphics card currently. would a nVidia geforce gtx 560 graphics card fit into the slot that the 9600gt was previously slotted in? i would hate it if i have to change my cpu case just to install the gtx560 card. thanks for ur answers, i appreciate it.|||Both cards are PCI-E x 16 V2.0, so it should work, provided you have room in the case, and the power supply can handle the extra 50W of power the 560 needs.

ATI or Nvidia for 3dmax? hd5870/5850 or Gtx560/460?

The GTX 560 is the best out of all of those.|||dont know what these people are talking about...

the 5870 hd is a more high performance card than the 560 and ati 5000 and 6000 series cards support stereoscopic 3d|||the nVidia!|||Nvidia cards. the gtx 560 ti is the best, but the gtx 460 comes right behind it. They are both excellent cards for your money, they are very good for the performance per dollar, they run very cool, are pretty power efficent, and have lots of room for overclocking :)|||nvidia 560 is the best option there

also the AMD 5000 series do not support 3D the 6000 series support steriostopic 3D|||The 5000 series is old junk now, get the 560.

GTX560 1GB or HD6870 1GB?

which is better?|||what he said lol|||When tested in practice with in-game benchmarks, the GTX beats the Radeon card at about an average of 10% better performance. The Radeon does however generate less heat and consumes less power, with the added advantage of being cheaper. If you are willing to pay for a bit of extra kick, go for the GTX.

Should i change OS to Windows 7 with this computer?

Hey, guy should i change my OS to Windows 7 with this computer? I like to play some games with better graphics, but Win 7 requeres 1 GB so im asking. The spec is:

Processor: Intel 2 Quad Q6600 2.4

Video: Nvidia GTX560 Ti

Ram: 4GB

Thx!|||vista or windows 7 is cool either one

make sure you update your drivers from nvidias site and not the dvd that came with your video card.

also if it is evga or xfx or pny etc... any of the card manufacturers, dont go to their site and get the update go to nvidias site

nvidia.co|||ya you can change OS Windows 7 with this computer.its better|||Yes Windows 7 will be better than XP. You have 4GB of RAM so RAM shouldn't be an issue. Also don't forget Windows 7 provides support for DirectX11 and much more, so it will actually improve your performance.|||As a general rule, you do not mess with a computers operating system unless there is a problem. To do otherwise is to invite disaster and frustration. Unless you are having issues with the computer, I would advise you to leave it alone.|||Yes you can do this. Install the 64 bit if you can. I run a LGA 775 system also. Suggest you upgrade the memory to 6GB if possible. Windows 7 likes memory. I run 8GB, overkill but it is 4 or 8 with this board. Hope it helps.|||Yeah do it. It will be far better than whatever OS you have on it now.|||Yes you definitely should with that 560 Ti, the performance will skyrocket in games using DX11

Is the i5 2300 good enough to play the latest, most demanding games on max settings?

I want to know if it is able to play games like crysis and battlefield 3 on max settings as well as future games and how future proof it is.

GPU: GTX560|||The most demanding games won't work well on max settings, but you'll still be able to play them just fine.

This isn't because of the processor, it's because of the GPU. With the right GPU that processor could run anything on max settings.

In the long run, nothing is future proof. There are ways to make your computer last longer before it becomes obsolete though.

For one, using a socket with lots of upgrade options will let you keep the same motherboard for longer - the LGA 1155 socket for the i5 2300 is a decent option for that. There will still be newer better processors for LGA 1155 in a year or so - i7-3XXX

Another thing you can do is get a motherboard and power supply that is SLI ready, and make sure the power supply is more than enough for 2 of whatever graphics card you put into it. That way down the line you can add another GTX 560 instead of having to replace it with a GTX 790 or whatever.

You can put all the RAM you need into 2 slots. It's dual-channel so it works best in pairs but 2 4Gb sticks work just as well as 4 2Gb sticks, plus you'll leave 2 slots open in case 8Gb isn't enough someday.

Last but not least, make sure your motherboard has USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s. These aren't terribly important right now, but they probably will be in the near future.

:D:D:D

Will the gtx560 ti fit inside a the case of hp pavilion hpe h8m 1000z series pc the chasis is a u atx?

dimensions are l. 16.22 w.6.88 H.16.34|||The case seems to be a standard mid tower size, so The GTX 560 will probably fit, however you will need a new PSU, the stock 300 watt unit won't cut it.|||Before you look at dimensions, you need to make sure the power supply has enough watts. But I'd say 90% it won't fit. And I doubt that pc has the 2 pcie power connectors it needs.

Having Problems Setting Up SLI EVGA GTX560 TI X2?

Hello,

So here is my problem, My board is SLI certified, and so are my Cards(Duel GTX560 TI). I have installed the cards, and connected the SLI bridge between them, I also made sure they had power. I have a 700 Watt power supply.

I then powered on my PC, downloaded and installed the latest drivers from EVGA. When I open up Nvidia Control Panel I do not see any option to enable SLI. However in device manager, and in the Nvidia Control Panel I can see both of my cards. Is there something I could be missing? Does it kick in automatically with the newer driver sets?

I ran a 3D Mark at is says I do no have SLI enabled, but I do not see the option anywhere, please help.|||The BIOS of the motherboard has nothing to do with SLI

Nvidia GTX560 Ti driver continuously crashes?

My issue is specifically with the driver on my EVGA branded GTX560 TI superclocked GPU. The device driver will crash, leaving me in the middle of a game with a frozen screen before it goes black and the driver recovers.

This card is used in a system with the below specs.

ASUS Crosshair Formula IV mobo

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T CPU

Corsair Vengeance series DDR3 RAM (2 x4GB)

Windows 7 64-bit Home Edition

Dual monitor setup

(1) Acer AL1717 connected via VGA

(1) LG Flatron E2250 connected via HDMI

This is an issue that occurs with BOTH the 285.52 driver, the latest driver for the 500 series cards, as well as the Beta 290.53 driver. I have noticed that the issue occurs less with this driver but it does still happen.

I have tried uninstalling and re downloading/installing the 285.52 driver and it did nothing. So I got the Beta driver which reduced the frequency of driver crashes but still did not solve the issue.

The drivers have only crashed while playing MW3. They do not seem to have any issues while I play other games or just use the computer for internet or non-game programs.

Any help is much appreciated|||Consider updating the graphic card...

Will my processor be overclocked by the Nvidia GTX560 ti video card?

processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5800+(2 CPUs), 3.0Ghz

I have 4GB RAM

so my question is: will my processor be bottlenecked if I upgrade to this graphics card?

currently my computer is running a Geforce 9600 GT, it was good for its time, but sadly its become out dated.|||The video card won't bottleneck the GTX 560Ti, the graphics card is going to get bottlenecked by the GTX 560Ti.

There is a likely chance that it will bottleneck it, by a fair amount sincce the AMD Athlon 64's are a bit old.

Consider at least a Core i3 or an AMD X4 965 (Core i3 performs a bit better than the quadcore AMD)

With a system like that, the most I would use would be a GTS 450 or Radeon 5770/6770.

Is there a huge performance difference between the gtx560 Ti and the gtx590 graphics cardphics card?

Gtx590 currently sells for $930 at my city whilst Gtx569 Ti is only $250. Is it worth wasting $700 more for the performance?|||The GTX590 is very good but also overkill, the GTX560Ti would be better overall, it'll play anything you throw at it and also saves you $700 or so.|||The GTX590s are VERY powerful (100+ FPS on max with newest games).

But also, overkill. You don't need that much! Especially for that price! Lord.

Buy the 569, trust me.|||Wow!!! The gtx590 is I think the best graphics card available. If you got the money you should get it...|||theres a HUGE diffecence between the 2. the memory (Dedicated video ram) is much much more on the GTX 590. thats the best card on the market today. I would say if your a HARD CORE gamer and i mean HARDCORE then it will be worth it but if your just a gamer (more then a casual but not hardcore) then the 560 ti will work great...still plays almost all games on high. the 590 will play EVERYTHING on INSANE at high resolutions though. make sure your CPU is good though because playing games has only 3 nececities- RAM, a good multicore CPU, and a good GFX. if one of those is missing you wont get optimal gameplay|||Not really. The GTX 590 is pretty close to 2 GTX 560 TIs, but in reality, a GTX 560 TI is more than enough to play any game on the market at 1080p and ultra detail, save Crysis, Metro 2033, and BF3.

Also, the GTX 590 is quite loud and power hungry, in addition to being over-priced.|||No and where ever ur getting these cards from, their more expensive than they should be.

What is the best Media player for quality?

GTX560 or AMD Radeon HD 6950?

Just scroll down to see the graphs and stuff and you will be set :)

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/3…|||Please look at the link and compare them.

From what i've seen i would choose the Radeon HD 6950 over the Nvidia GTX560.|||This depends on your budget and if budget isn't a problem then it would really go down as to what application you would use this graphics card into.

Basically, all higher end graphics card will be just fine if used with just about anything, games, CAD or whatever. But usually certain applications will categorically specify which graphics card will better suit that program.

From my 14 years of experience with these things, I would prefer the AMD Radeon HD 6950 solely because of the less frequent reports of it being broken or going bad compared to others.|||The ATI Radeon HD 6950 is faster than the Geforce GTX 560. Look at the benchmarks:

560 is fine, since it can be overclocked to 570 performance (on the expense of ridiculous power consumption for a card like that).

6950 is fine too, since I can unlock the 2GB version to 6970 in most cases (of which the Twin Frozr II version sadly isn't one, the Twin Frozr III on the other hand is).|||I'd go for the HD6950, most of the time ATI / AMD is more bang for your buck.

Nvidia GTX560 @ 1 GB

PLZ DONT SUGGEST MAKING MOTHERBOARD UPGRADE I CANNOT AFFORD THAT TOO.

<<<PLZ HELP>>>>>|||Yes as a matter of fact I am in the same boat, My Cpu is an intel corei7 extreme and my gpu is a Nvidia Gtx 9800. So yes you are under powered . I will be upgrading my gpu next week .|||The Core 2 Duo is a bit slow for the GTX 560. DDR2 speeds are going to contribute to the bottleneck as well. Changing the processor will help curb the bottleneck, but won't eliminate it completely.|||If you've got a motherboard with a socket LGA775 you really should upgrade to a Core 2 Quad.

Another Core 2 Duo isn't going to do much for you in the way of lessening a bottleneck.|||I would like to tell you that its all going to be OK and that a core 2 duo will solve all your problems but I have to tell you that it will only slightly delay your computers demise. Therefore it is not a good idea to buy a new processor without a new motherboard, but instead it would be better to save up for a processor and motherboard combo which would significantly upgrade all of your computers capabilities. Also when you buy a new motherboard, if you have a computer that was commercially built you will have to check if your OS is OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or a fully licensed version because an OEM version will stop working when you change the motherboard. To save money and to increase the power I would suggest AMD processors and a compatible motherboards. The price of motherboard+ processor combos ranges in between $200 and $900 for AMD, and $200 through $3000 with the most powerful processor title being held by AMD, AMazingly.

I hope I have helped.|||You mean e7400?Then yes,it will prevent the bottleneck to a large extent but not completely..i would think of picking e8400 instead..its still a good gaming processor

What is a really good screen for triple screen setup?

So i would like to have three 23" screens for my desktop. i have 2 EVGA gtx560´s, so i should be able to pull them. but i´d need to find some with a thin bezel.

So the screen requirements would be:

*23"

*1920*1080+ resolution

*LED backlit

*thin bezel

*decent looks

and it would be nice if it was a 120Hz+ monitor too :)|||I bought my friend a 23 inch Acer monitor last month that he seems to enjoy a lot. Special Black Friday item (lined up at 430AM) at Staples for $109.

The thin monitor baloney is too much. Just overlap the screen edges on the 2 joints and use a program to eliminate the "jog" in lines crossing the bezels.

http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX… shows the Samsung 23 with a thin bezel with just 0.30" total black boundary between screens. Costly!

A couple years ago there was a company promoting a glass strip over the bezel that "bent" the images on pixels at edges of adjacent screens so that they merged seamlessly. A special software driver pushed part of the image into a squashed strip under the glass strip, so there was no geometric distortion on the views of the monitors. Cost was outrageous, of course.
